Because of these artistic archives, the V&A collection was born. The iconic museum has worked with several designers and textile houses to create this range. Discover an unusual array of home accessories with our new collection.
About The V&A
Founded in 1852, the V&A museum is the world’s leading collection and champion of art, design and performance. It was this museum that brought a spotlight to British design. This was at a time when textiles were exploding as an art form in the midst of the industrial revolution. It helped to raise the standard of British design and make works of art available to all.
On top of this the museum holds around 2.8 million permanent objects, with many temporary and curated pieces added to this, housing 17 national collections. It is the beating heart of artistry across many forms, holding great resources for the study of architecture, furniture, fashion, textiles, photography, sculpture, painting, jewellery, glass, ceramics, book arts, Asian art and design, theatre and performance.
The V&A home accessories collection draws inspiration from this incredible array of art, resulting in a range of decorative prints and elaborate embroideries that tell the remarkable stories from the archive. Showcasing objects of intricate craft and remarkable innovation across accessories to bring into your home.

V&A Bedding
Using inspiration from textiles to pottery and ornaments across the ages, we adore the eclectic mix of prints used by the V&A home accessories range.
This beautiful range can provide a calming sanctuary needed for a soothing restful sleep, transforming your bedroom to another level of serenity.
Try a style like this Baroque Botanical Print bedding set for a way to bring antiquity in a stylish and modern way.
The acanthus style leaves that scroll across this bedlinen are based on a French textile design. This style was lifted from the 1860s by J.D. Cornuaud, held in the V&A’s Prints & Drawings archive.
The all-over scroll foliage pattern is shown in indigo blue and white tones, and the reverse features an elegant stripe & leaf design. Printed on 200 thread count 100% cotton percale and sourced through the Better Cotton Initiative.
If all over print isn’t quite your thing, try a style like this eau de nil Floral Bedding. Which features aqua blue detailing on a fresh white background.
Depicting a graceful border rendered in a soft eau de nil colour, this bed linen is inspired by a textile design. It’s a style from 1923 by British Arts and Crafts architect-designer, C.F.A. Voysey (1857–1941). Featuring a linear floral and leaf inspired pattern, finished with a plain dye reverse in 100% cotton.
Other V&A Home Accessories
It’s not just the bedroom where you can bring some antiquated glamour and artistry into your decor. The classic and timeless prints and homeware pieces of the V&A collection are wonderful to add accents to living spaces too.
Plus, their cushions prove to be a selection just as high quality in both design and fabrication as their bedding. With this Aarya Kerala Medallion cushion just one example of this.
The Aarya/Kerala cushion features an embroidered medallion design that beautifully complements the V&A bedding range. The half circle medallion design is on the left side of the cushion. The style of which is based on a woodblock sample pattern, lifted from a printed fabric from within the collection. A print made at Garratt’s Silk Printing Works, Wandsworth, London, in about 1850.
Or try something with a little more colour and just as much character with this Voysey Quilted Throw in an aqua blue hue.
The artistry of the piece comes from, C.F.A. Voysey (1857-1941) who was a British Arts and Crafts architect-designer, with this design from about 1925. The floral design features delicate birds and butterflies all edged with aqua flat piping and printed on 200 thread count cotton percale.
